Gambler Burst Oh-Toro is an aggressively tacky attack rubber for players who wish to use heavy spin. It is suitable for close table attack, 3rd ball push to attack and heavy over the table loop. Made with our exclusive Gambler Japanese “Oh-Toro” sponge and combining this with our proprietary formulated top sheet, Burst is comparable to premium high tacky Chinese style rubber, featuring quality only previously found in European and Japanese brands.
• Speed: 90
• Spin: 99
• Control: 91
• Sponge Type: Gambler “Oh-Toro” HARD 48+-2
• Spin Type: Mid Tacky (60% sticky 40% mechanical)
Note: Better performance than so called “National Team” versions of popular Chinese brands, with European/Japanese level of quality.
Use of Tuners: Just like the top Japanese rubbers Burst actually will get slower after tuning. Gambler generally does not recommend the use of tuners with this high performance rubber, however after a week of play post tuner the rubber picks back the original speed and a touch more spin. If you must use tuner only use paraffin based formulas NEVER (regular baby oil) mineral oil based tuners.

I got this rubber on my FH and it performed great. My blade was a gambler fire dragon fast. I am a looper with with a big FH and a decent BH (mostly for flicking and blocking). The rubber had lots of tack so I could spin the ball well and with power. It also had quite good blocking without much touch needed. It served well considering I am not the best server although I am improving. This works great if you wish to produce heavy spin close or mid distance.

This is my favorite Gambler rubber. I was worried the change to the new sponge would change its feel but it still feels great. It’s fairly light for a tacky rubber. Comes with a slight diesel smell. The rubber is soft and supple. Sponge is great. It has a certain pop, like a freshly boosted sheet of h3. This pop is what I find missing from the other rubbers in the line-up.
I’m an aggressive looper. I use it on my forehand. Works well on all shots. Many gears with good top speed. It plays as described, tack helps on slow shots and gives extra spin on hard shots. A little bouncy when hitting. Good throw angle for safety and blocking. Control is amazing. I think it plays great on backhand also. Just a great rubber.
